XCP
Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol
XCP stands for Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol and is standardized as ASAM MCD-1 XCP. It is designed to be bus-independent and serves to calibrate ECU parameters as well as measure internal variables with as little load as possible on the ECU and communication bus. XCP typically accesses ECU data via memory addresses; their description is provided via A2L files.
