TC9 is the OPEN Alliance committee for Automotive Ethernet Channel & Components. Its focus is on electrical requirements and test procedures for the cabling channel and the associated components such as cables, connectors, cable assemblies, and link segments across various Automotive Ethernet speeds. In practice, TC9 is important when assessing whether a cable or link segment is physically suitable for 1000BASE-T1, MultiGBASE-T1, or 10BASE-T1S and operates cleanly in compliance with the specification.
