Power over Coax enables the combined transmission of power and data over the same coaxial cable.

Power over Coax (PoC) means that power supply and high-speed data are transmitted over the same coaxial cable. In automotive camera systems with FPD-Link or GMSL, this reduces weight, wiring effort, and cost because separate power lines are no longer needed. For logging and prototyping setups, PoC is relevant because the power supply architecture must also be taken into account when tapping, injecting, or replacing camera or SerDes links.
