Pass-Thru Vehicle Programming
PassThru is the common designation for the SAE J2534 interface for standardized access to diagnostic protocols and ECU reprogramming. It was originally created so that independent workshops could reprogram emissions-relevant ECUs without OEM-specific exclusive hardware. Today, PassThru is also used for many other diagnostic tasks.
