MIPI CSI-2 is the standardized high-speed camera protocol of the MIPI Alliance for transmitting image and video data from image sensors to processors. CSI-2 is typically transported over C-PHY or D-PHY and, in automotive long-reach scenarios, also over A-PHY. For loggers and sensor adapters, CSI-2 is important because many raw cameras and image sensors internally use exactly this protocol.
