LDF

LIN Description File

File for the complete description of a LIN cluster with frames, nodes, and schedules.

LDF stands for LIN Description File and is the central text file that describes a complete LIN cluster. Among other things, it contains protocol version, baud rate, node list, signals, frames, and schedule tables and is used for embedded software, testing, validation, and analysis. In logging practice, an LDF is needed to correctly decode raw LIN bus data and display it symbolically.
