FlexRay is a deterministic, fault-tolerant high-speed bus system for automotive applications with high requirements for real time and reliability. It was developed particularly for x-by-wire, chassis, and safety-critical applications and achieves data rates up to 10 Mbit/s. In data logging, FlexRay is important because its time-triggered communication approach enables precise and context-rich recordings of demanding vehicle systems.
