EDSFF stands for Enterprise and Data Center Standard Form Factor and is a family of modern SSD form factors for NVMe/PCIe storage. The standard was created to enable better signal quality, higher power draw, hot-swap capability, and better cooling compared to older form factors. In high-end data logging, EDSFF can be relevant when logger platforms rely on very fast, durable, and service-friendly NVMe storage.
