Diagnostic Trouble Code
DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Code and refers to a standardized coded fault entry in vehicle diagnostics. DTCs are typically managed by the DEM and made available externally via diagnostic protocols such as UDS or OBD. In the data logging context, DTCs help quickly correlate recorded bus, sensor, and ECU events with diagnostically relevant fault states.
