Diagnostics over Internet Protocol
DoIP stands for Diagnostics over Internet Protocol and is standardized as ISO 13400. It transports UDS diagnostic communication over IP/Ethernet and therefore offers significantly higher data rates than CAN-based diagnostics. DoIP is especially important for modern vehicle architectures, remote diagnostics, fast flashing, and data-intensive service or development processes.
