Transport of diagnostic communication over CAN according to ISO 15765.

DoCAN means Diagnostics over CAN and describes the transmission of UDS diagnostic communication over a CAN-based transport protocol according to ISO 15765. It is the classical form of vehicle diagnostics in many current and older E/E architectures and is often used via the OBD connector or engineering interfaces. Compared to DoIP, DoCAN has lower bandwidth, but it is established in a very large number of vehicles and test environments.
