Camera Aggregation

Camera aggregation refers to bundling multiple camera data streams before forwarding them to an ECU or processor.

Camera aggregation refers to combining multiple camera data streams on an aggregator or bridge component before they are forwarded to an ECU, SoC, or sensor-fusion processor. This is especially important in modern vehicle architectures because the number of cameras is increasing while the number of physical lines and processor ports is limited. In logging, camera aggregation is relevant because loggers or acquisition systems must understand whether individual sensor streams are delivered separately or already bundled.
